RESEARCH

I’m fascinated by the interaction between light and biological cells or tissue and how this can be exploited to benefit the bio-medical sciences. My areas of expertise are optical trapping and optical tweezers, targeted particle delivery to cells, Raman spectroscopy, biological uses for nanoparticles (as sensors) and integrating optics with microfluidics.
